HIGGS BOSON
09 Oct 2013—26 Oct 2013
Taking influence from quantum physics and the Large Hadron Collider, Higgs boson takes the form of a series of plywood, vinyl, steel and glass sculptures that collage together imagery and forms. They utilise an extensive range of sources including science fiction, cubist sculpture, laboratories, set design and found cinematic stills.
The collection of sculptures to be shown offers a wide variety of visual experimentations exploring a confrontation with the alien or the unknown in aesthetics and process. The work will sit in the zone between figuration and abstraction, fiction and fact and between representation and the real.
