Sneak Out
19 July 2025—17 Aug 2025
Opening:
Saturday 19th July, 6 - 8 PM
‘Sneak Out’ pathologies the blurred boundaries between home and work spaces as domains of limit, and looks to heighten and/or mitigate anxieties around such spaces. The carceral, punitive and claustrophobic logics that at times pervade home and work spaces in their respective domestic and bureaucratic forms open out toward counter-social responses – sneaking out, time-stealing, quiet-quitting. Toward a restaging of the viva contemplativa and an embrace of the recently determined ‘right to disconnect’, this exhibition conspires with several works by artists who consider the sneak-out through gambits of probability, architectural extraction, and value objects of neoliberal consumption. 'Sneak Out' also includes an exhibition screening of NIGHTCLEANERS (1975), courtesy of Berwick Street Collective and LUX, London.
