GEORGE CRIDDLE
Linger
17 Jul 2013—03 Aug 2013
Linger responds to a corrugated roof structure that once covered the mysterious remains of a small house in Kutná Hora, Czech Republic. Through a variety of material investigations into glass and mirroring, Georgina Criddle has developed a series of works that search for certainty in the enigmatic with a focus on material contingencies, transformations, and traces that are left behind.
George Criddle, born 1984 in Perth, lives and works in Melbourne. Criddle studied at Curtin University in Perth and at Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Her work has been exhibited internationally at the Kunsthalle Fridericianum in Kassel, GIZ-Haus in Berlin, the Rote Fabrik in Zurich and La Générale in Sèvres. Criddle is currently completing an MFA at Monash University.
