GLEN WALLS
Life Without Objects
15 Feb 2012—03 Mar 2012
Glenn Walls’ Life Without Objects extends the concepts developed in previous exhibitions such as Superlost, Superlost Again and Projects for Total Urbanisation. The title is taken from writers Peter Lang and William Menking book on late 60s and 70s Italian architectural group; Superstudio: Life Without Objects.
Life Without Objects refers to our current level of consumer-driven consumption and the idea of being lost in our super houses filled with super things. The intention of the work in the show was that all objects exhibited would have some connection to the period in which Italian architectural group Superstudio was active (1966–78) but would be placed in a contemporary context.
