A Selection of Artists… explores the correlation between my sexual desire and my artistic practice. For the show I have invited 7 babes to each lend me a work of their choosing that I will then display. Once installed the show will provide an abstract map of my own filthy mind. Will patterns emerge? Connections made that reveal unconscious rhythms? Will hot men make hot art? Will it be the type of group show orgy you want to partake in or the sort that leaves you awkwardly backing out of the room?
Jake Preval is a New Zealand born artist currently living and working in Melbourne. He graduated from the VCA Sculpture and Spatial Practice department with a BFA in 2014. Recent solo shows include Blurb (with Theia Connell) at Kings ARI (2015), Hotmessblues at Rooftop Artspace (2014) and Costumes for the Ark at George Paton Gallery (2013).
