ZAINAB HIKMET
fil mishmish
07 Jan 2021—24 Jan 2021
The title of this exhibition, fil mishmish is an Arabic expression that translates to ‘when
the apricots bloom’. Often used in the same vein as ‘when pigs fly’, some believe that
this term pinpoints a particular moment that is extremely difficult to get right; when the
apricots are picked during the brief period of time they taste their best.
There was no opening reception for this exhibition due to COVID-19 restrictions.
